I think the three days I was in Madrid were the only days out of the year that it rained as hard as it did. Nonetheless, I learned a lot during that trip. I did a walking tour where I also got treated to sangria and tapas—I had this huge ball of burrata which they literally injected pesto inside of it with a syringe. It was actual food porn. I also went to a market where they had a stand dedicated to mozzarella and burrata cheese. I am lactose intolerant, but nothing stopped me at all when I saw that stand.
